So probably over a year ago my Jeep threw P0441. I cleared it and carried on, though it would probably pop up once every month or two and I would have to clear it again. Soon it was happening every time I drove it. So I just bought a new gas cap, and bam...it was gone for about 6 months. Today it came back with a vengeance...coming on every time I start it. I've inspected the lines in the engine bay, and around the charcoal canister and nothing looks rotted or disconnected. Is there anyway to tell if the canister itself or the purge solenoid are bad without just blindly replacing them? I'll give the lines another once over but I'm not sure how to proceed if I don't find anything. Thanks guys |
