Ok been trying for over a month to get Goodyear Duratracs LT245/75r16 load is 108 C.... they are back ordered till January I was told. But I can get 10 ply E load rating the next day. There is a 60 mail in rebate and the tires are on sale right now at Canadian Tire. Obviously I'm in Canada, Southern Ontario ... CRD 06 with a 2.5 lift and Eco reflash. Until jan I'm driving 125km a day, didn't buy this to commute but I am using it for that right now. I also live in the country and tow a double sled trailer hoping very soon. My tires are F'ed and dried out, I have to put it in 4x4 for basically everything so I need something soon. \ So if I get the E which are 5 lbs more a wheel a total of 45lbs a tire am I really going to kill my mileage that much? Should I just get the E they are basically the same price with rebate...? |

Things to consider: "E" series tires use a harder compound and most brands have a slightly deeper tread depth than a "C" rated tire. Hince a tiny bit taller tire and possibly a little more contact with body on sharp turns. E's will ride a little more stiff due to their stiffer and heavier construction. They will give you a little more mileage wear in the long run as well... Your decision, |

Hope this helps. I've been running 225/75/16 BFG A/T Load E for 9K miles. No complaints. I'm used to a stiff ride since I'm running an HD OME lift. Tires have been rotated (five tire rotation) every 3,000 miles and kept 36-38 psi. |

I had a set of BFG ATs with E rating that lasted over 125000 miles with tire rotations every 5000 miles. They still had 1/4 usable tread left when I bought my new set of Duratracs in E rating as well. They may be a little stiffer but like others said with an HD lift I don't notice it much at all. Airing down for the beach the tire won't compress as much as well, so that's something to consider if you are airing down for better traction the tire may not "spread out" as well as a C rated tire. I have yet to get a flat on any of these E-rated tires even after having a small bolt in the tread. Very durable, same price, only heavier and stiffer. I'd say go for it! |

Running 265-75-16 Duratracs in just the regular, lowest, of the low there is air down great, no flats/patches/no issues with them, along with the JBA coilover lift ride is like riding in a luxury car 81,000 miles so far so don't see a need for 8-10 plys |

I "hate" the stiffness of my E rated tires! |

225/75R16 Duratracs E rating here. Personally I think they made it handle more like a Jeep. I have no problems with them. |
