Hey guys, been doing tons and tons of research on adding an evic to my 06 and have found one on ebay that i think may work. Just a few questions about it. Ive been through pages and pages of stuff with part numbers and what works on what, and being that i have a 2006 i know i need an 05 or 06 evic from a chrysler group product. I found one from a 2005 grand cherokee but the number they have listed doesnt match any number ive seen. Its not even really the same format and i cant get the sticker to read clearly in the pictures. The number given is 1LE17BD1AA Which on all the mopar parts sites lists 2005-2010 gc, 300m, magnums and chargers. I know they made the gc with a 3.7l and after reading every evic guide i can find, this part seems like a good fit...except ive never seen the part number before. I also know i might have to do some playing around with the pins as ive learned the 05 and 06 kjs swapped around some pins, which isnt a big deal. I have the mounting bracket and pigtails off of an 03 evic i got from the yard for 10$ but id really like to have all the features work (temp, ampg, compass etc) What do ya'll think? Get the 05-10 cherokee one and sell the 03 on ebay or throw the 03 in and hope it works? |
