Geordi can probably answer this better than anyone....he has the most experience fooling with the cams!

How easy should the cam shafts spin? I have the rocker box off to replace the lifters and I was about to put it back on and when I tried to spin the cam I could not get it to move with my fingers. I could spin the Exhaust fairly easy. Thanks for the help |

Message I got from Geordi If you are spinning them without the cam gear on, it could be quite difficult - The bearings are decently snug on the camshafts. If they are difficult / impossible to rotate *with* the cam gear in place, then you may have an issue with the bearings. Ditto for your exhaust cam bearings, if there seems to be any looseness or play in the camshaft while it sits there. I haven't heard of any bearings going bad on these, so there is that. |
