Well, winter appears to be breaking and I need to get my Blizzaks off the jeep. My other summer tires were shot and its time to get a new set for my Moab wheels that have been sitting in the garage. Obviously I want to do this once, IE, I wanna go with bigger tires now so I dont have to wait 50,000 miles for smaller ones to wear out. This means its time to lift as well. The Dilemma: CRD Frankenlift + JBA Arms = ~$1930 JBA 2.5" Coilover CRD Silver Lift(includes JBA Arms) = ~$2260 That price is fairly close. I would be willing to spend the extra $300 for the JBA if people think its worth it. Plus the JBA coils will allow me to go 4" if I ever wanted to and only swap out the parts in the rear. Let me know what you think. Also, what tires can i fit on my Moabs with this lift. would 265/70/16 be to wide? PS I posted this over in the CRD section by accident too. |

I love my JBA Adjust-a-strut. Packages were different when I bought mine, but I got the "some generation A-arms" and Old Man Emu rear shocks. When I put my bumper on it, it was an easy operation to raise the front back up due to the added weight (all in needed was a half an inch or so). Rides very nice. Can't say about the 260's, but I would highly recommend the JBA coilovers. |

Hard to beat the ride of the JBA coilovers plus the adjustability so they have my vote 265-70-16s on Moabs would work great since the MOABs are 8 inch wide wheels , actually fot better than 245-75-16s |

I called Marlin at JBA and he was saying 7-10 days before he could ship since they put the kits together per order. Unfortunately I am going to be driving 3/4th the way across the country by the time they end up at my door here so now I am thinking I need to wait. There is a rebate on duratracs right now that i didnt wanna miss. |

Running your Blizzaks for another month is not going to hurt them. It is only March. |

We saw some 50°F+ days here this week but its looking like the weather for the next two weeks is going to be <40°F so i am not so worried. Its cheaper to have the tires shipped to utah anyways. |

Dropping 2300 on a lift isnt as easy as it sounds. I already ordered the tires though, so I have to now. |

I only spent 3700 Cdn to buy my Jeep (we were close to parity when I bought it in late 2013)...although I've put a little $$ into it since. Let us know how you like it...I'd love to do get them, but I'm focusing on my cash on my house right now. |

out of curiousity, when are the JBA arms absolutely necessary? Will both lifts I mentioned require arms? |

If you're at or above 3" of lift in the front, you'll need the JBA arms. |

As NAM said, 3" is generally the limit. With the JBA coil overs you can go a tad higher since the springs are a tighter coil. |
