Im doing my first engine rebuild. Bought a used 2004 3.7 engine. I do have a bore/cylinder gauge to check all points of the cylinders. What are the engine cylinder specs for a 3.7? At what diameter size do I go with an oversized piston ring? At what point do I go with an over sized piston? Im just asking right now...as far as I can tell the cylinders look good except for 1 and 2 they have a small ridge which I will remove with a reamer. Thanks |

The bore and stroke etc. are all in the factory service manual if you have one. If not I'm sure you can find a PDF version online.. |
