what is the widest tire running on a 16 inch rim and do to use spacers ? or offset rims ? if so what size

Lifted or stock
If stock , then stock wheels size ( 5 inches of backspacing and 7 inch wide wheel with 245-70-16s
If lifted then 7 inch wide wheel and 4 inches of backspacing and widest tire would be 265-70-16

Toms right.

I had to beat the body panelling in the front fender back with a sledge hammer to stuff a 265/75/16 on a 16 inch steelie that's 8 inches wide with 4.25 inches of backspace.

Yes bad backspacing, too wide, too big

Psssst. 4 strikes. Your forgot too heavy.

I'm a big dude, p90x graduate too.. And even for me lifting that tire off the ground to get it onto the lugs is killer.

It's funny cause I can pick up my spare (245/75/16, factory rim) with two fingers
