I know it's been discussed and I've head many people be told not to do it unless re gear. But here is my question. I have completed my 3.5 econolift and now the 245/75-16 ' s look small. Will this lift provide adequate clearance for 32x10.50's? I have 16x8 wheels w 4.5 backspace. I understand that I will need to re gear, but it will be way easier to get the wife to buy into that once it becomes a problem. And then while I have the diff open might as well install a locker. Get my drift. |

IMO stick with the 245-75-16s Yes you will need to regear with those tires, plus the backspacing on your wheels combined with those tires will give you a little bit more issues Plus IMO need 4 inches of lift not 3.5 But if you think you have to trick your wife into doing something then ........................ But in the end you know she will come out ahead on the deal no matter what So is it worth lying to your wife, spending 2000 plus or so on gears / lockers / labor , you decide |

I was just joking around with the wife thing. She realy could care less. A locker is in the future regardless. Tires need replaced before hunting season, so up size was a consideration. But no plans to increase lift size. |

Tom is right. I'm at 22.5 and I don't rub with 265/75/16 with 4.5 inches of backspace. Mainly because I seriously modified the fender well with a bfh and I ditched the front bumper. Physically it's possible with just a lunch weld pound. The jeep will be drive able, but expect to put gas in it every week. Oh and totally kiss your acceleration good bye. Mine doesn't shift right either, so I do 10kph over the speed limit to hit shift points. What it all boils down to, if you don't care if your jeep breaks, you can do what you want. But expect to fix something.. Sometime. If you want it last, listen to tom. I HAVE... Thrown around the idea of 235/85/16 (31.8x9) on factory aluminum rims. |

^^^ I didn't listen to Tom, because I have more money than brains.. And I only paid 2200 CAD for jeep, three years ago. But I do value what he says. |
