Well..

You all know how expensive lockers are right??

I can get my hands on a whole rear end, side to side for 50 bucks.

Do you guys think it would be worth welding up a rear end and putting it under the kj, just for wheeling purposes??

Obv I would keep my stock axle just incase... You guys think this could be fun?

Well if you dont mind tire squeal around corners on pavement. For 50 bucks I suppose it's worth a shot.

Having had a " Lincoln Locker" back years ago in a " off road" only old CJ
Have fun driving it on the street
Even off road and had it in for only 3 runs

Lincoln locker? We just call them welded diffs here. For $50 I can't see the problem there aside from the added wear and stress from making turns on the street.

I'm not expecting it to last very long, just thought it could be fun.

You could do a smooth doughnut (360) around every turn in winter (most of the year) up there. You could start a new driving style! It's likely ballet with jeeps

I'd move south with a Lincoln locker :5SHOTS:

Makes sense. Each generation has their own thing. I don't think I'd ever lock an axle that way. In my area it seems to be more common with the "drifters" rather than the Jeepers and 4x4 owners.

Hold on!

Lol..

I didn't mean drive it in the winter time, I meant something fun to do in the winter. Like weld it during the winter, imagine if I could put on a new mig pass, every week from December until spring time.. Lol.. I don't think it would ever break. .. Or it will break ten feet down the trail lol

Pfffttt lol..

You gotta come up in March. Try some of our trails. You go from mud, that's a foot deep to two feet deep, to water holes, to sandy knolls, to sheets of ice and rock. It's awesome!!!

Contrary to popular belief lol.. Lol... It does get too hot to handle outside sometimes. Went to Texas for a combined arms exercise in March, prolly 2004, i got sooooo tanned. Landed on the Tarmac back here in Canada, oh doo doo.. That was cold.

Well, all I know is I worked a winter in Lameque, NB. And the ocean was FROZEN feet thick around that frozen island. I tried to go for a walk once, but it was about -92359270 degrees F, and that 2 miles about killed me. That was SOUTHERN Canada!

Pretty amazing reading about the Canadian settlers, talk about a tough life!

New Brunswick.. No doo doo that would almost kill me too!!

Lol, I'm more south than NB, I'm in Southern Ontario. I can see New York State from my work, on a clear day of course.

New York gets cold up there too lol. It's nice and "warm" on Long Island. We get a lot less snow and stay a little warmer. That said, upstate can really bake in the summer... If you're a beach guy you would love out beaches in the summer. Around July to early/mid August is some of the hottest times and the ocean will reach temps closer to 70*F. You don't have to stay at the Hamptons or Montauk either.
