I have received letters about this before but the latest one that just came in states that I will receive a $100 prepaid visa gift card simply for going to the dealer and taking the time out of my day.I dont recall them saying this before. I have a 3rd party hitch already so I figured they would just tell me I am good and send me on my way, so I never made an appt. Now I think I might.

BTW, those of you who already had this done on or after July 24th, 2015 are eligible for the $100 card according to the letter.

I have not received a letter, I assume since I just bought my 02 KJ and sent in the cchange of owner card about a month ago. But the dealer installed my hitch on August 21 with no mention of a Visa card. I wonder how I would go about getting mine

Just got my letter.........................

lets see I have a letter from Chrysler stating my KJ does not fall under any recall since it's excessively modified(I have to pay).I've been to the local dealership 5 times now to get "this recall does not apply" stamped on a invoice(for 3 recalls) and seen the service writer enter it in the system 5 times but still get these darn letters.

Well back to the dealership and getting my $100 and shoving a prybar up someone's a $ $ so far they will be tasting tempered steel.

You'd be "going in the hole" both literally and figuratively! Some a them tool truck prybars cost a LOT more than a hundred bucks!

Hi Guys

I finally took my Liberty in yesterday.

I already had the factory hitch and I knew
there was no corrosion. They did nothing
other than "look".

They made no mention of the gift card,
and I didn't ask.

Does the inspection alone qualify for the
gift card? After all, the reason for the
gift card is to get us to "bring it in", and
bring it in I did.

If I'm entitled to the gift card, how do I
get it?

Thanks . . . . . Brian

I was told you have to log in on the Chrysler site for the gift card.

Hi

Thanks for the info.

I logged on to my account at http://www.moparownerconnect.com
and looked at open recalls (there was one).

The open one was for the trailer hitch, and there was a link
to print out the form.

I have the form as a pdf, but I don't see any way here to
upload a pdf.

At least we know now, how to get the card.

Thanks again . . . . Brian

I'm kinda wishing I waited now. I took mine in I think in February or March after a lot of back and forth with the dealer for them not having the parts. Then I finally called back after a couple months on "the waiting list" and they said they had the parts for a while. Go figure. Now I wish I waited. Would have gotten a free hitch and a hundred bucks. Why must I be so proactive :(

Adrian,
The gift card deal is retroactive. Look into it, I am pretty sure you will qualify.

If that's the case, looks like I'll be missing that. Got mine done in February or March.

Sorry for the false start. Mass-hole is correct. I just pulled my letter and it was on or after July 24 to qualify. For some reason I thought it went back way further than that.

Anyone actually get the Gift Card? I just don't want to endanger any kind of contamination that my Jeep might get at the stealership unless it's a for certain deal!
