| Post subject: | Thinking to assemble my own lift kit... |
Hi guys an gals, after a few hours of reading i´m still not sure what lift kit i should buy.... i´m using my 2003 2.8 CRD 90% onroad as daily driver and the other 10% offroad but just on country roads and forest tracks. sometimes i tow a tandem trailer. my plan: - getting a little bit higher than now (stock suspension with 115k miles on it) - tighter handling onroad - better look So now i´m thinking to buy these suspension parts: Front: Ironman 4x4 40mm Coil Springs (JEEP014C) with additional load: + 50-100 kg KONI Heavy Track Shocks (KONI-8240-1201SPX) Rear: Ironman 4x4 40mm Coil Springs (JEEP015B) with additional load: + 0-200 kg KONI Heavy Track Shocks (KONI-8240-1202SPX) the shocks are adjustable, but only for stock suspension high made, KONI don`t offer any shocks for lifted KJ´s, i also not plan to use trim packers. JBA has made a chart of some different shocks, but just the KONI are not in.... ![]() So what do you think about my suspension choice.... thanks for any response, bye, Samse |

Or an other question: after this 115k miles my OEM suspension sagged down (i think so), how much lift does the Ironman lift kit really give? 40mm higher than now or what is the reference high for this statement bye, samse |

Does someone know the meaning of "medium load" for the OME rear coil springs? Additional constant load of 100, 200, 250kgs? EDIT: how can i identify the OME coil springs -> is there a the product number painted on? bye, samse |

If you have the CRD I would recommend the OME 790 front / 948 rear with OME shocks 948s are listed as medium load but are the highest rating rear springs they have for the KJ Using their complete setup is the way to go, some owners have tried going different routs over the years and full OME kit works best for the CRD owners |

for the record: -> front OME 927, ordered -> front IRONMAN4x4 12711GR, ordered -> rear OME 948, ordered -> rear shocks ?? (thinking about the Rancho Shock RS9000XL 2.5" lift, because they are adjustable).... a really frankenstein suspension, so what do you think? bye, samse |
