Hi All

Been looking at doing some front recovery points for awhile now and have been quite lucky not to need any; but everyone's luck runs out sooner or later. I picked up a set of generic recovery points that fit the Toyota Landcruiser, Nissan Navara etc after getting the idea from the hitch recovery points, and made a few modifications to fit the Liberty

Should hopefully be going on this weekend :JEEPIN:

So how many bolts holding it on?
I would fabricate a plate to go inside the frame rail so that you could bolt up through to it
Nuts welded to the plate you slide back in
Why did you cut them off so short? Just curious

Few more details -
2x M12x40mm 10.9 bolts
Recovery points are 10mm 8620 steel plate
6mm 316 stainless backing plate will be inside the rails

The reason for them being cut down slightly was so I can use the existing tow hook holes and still fit them between the radiator frame and front bar without protruding past the bumper (in Australia it is illegal to have any protrusion in front of the bumper unless its an accessory to an item incorporated into the bumper itself eg. winch accessories).

EDIT: A couple more images of the recover points finished in Black zinc gal before they go on tomorrow.

Well got them installed over the weekend and it couldn't have gone better :pepper: Still have a little bumper trimming to do but they're a pretty good fit!

Turned out really good, maybe an option for some over here if we can find the parts

Those look incredible. Amazing job. IMO, they look better than the stock hooks.
