For years my tpms hasn't worked because I couldn't get the EVIC to recognize my tpms valves using the training magnet. I finally found a solution that didn't involve trips to the dealership as my only option.

I purchased on Amazon an ATEQ VT5 one button trigger tool. It uses radio frequency like the dealer to program the tpms valves. It took me 4 or 5 tries getting all 5 wheels trained, but now it works like a charm.

I did have to play around with the tool, holding it close to and moving it around the stem, then away about a foot or so. And I'm not sure if this is required, but I finally got them trained properly after a 15 mile/20 minute drive with new valves installed.

I think the tool was $65 or $70. There seem to be lots of tpms tools like this in the marketplace, this was just the cheapest I could find, and it worked.
