My 42RLE box according to the specialists maybe has a buggered solenoid block and valve body. It's getting stuck in neutral when shifting between 3&4. They tell me if I'm going to replace the solenoid pack and valve body for about $2000 then I may as well rebuild the box for $5000 now asides from economics is there any reason that I should do the full rebuild rather than replace the solenoid pack and valve body. Off the shelf remanufactured boxes just dont seem to be available here in Australia. |

You could probably get all your parts from http://www.cascadetransmissionparts.com/42rle.aspx and do it all yourself without dropping the transmission. |
