I am finally about to lift my 03 Liberty with 110K on it next weekend and I want to make sure I have all the parts I need. My questions is should I replace the old iso pads with new ones? I plan to add an extra pad in the rear to go with the conduit nuts in the front clevis. Should I replace the old pads? Does it make any difference?

Thanks in advance.

I woundnt bother. I didn't do mine and did my lift at probably 80k miles and they looked fine besides being a little dirty

I would maybe put the new iso between the old iso and body, that way the new spring will just sit in the indentation made by the old spring on the old iso.

My guess is that new isos will pretty quickly deform anyways so there is no real benefit unless the old ones were torn or something. Having done some compressive creep testing in the past, materials tend to deform to 90% of the total expected deformation within the first few minutes so a nice fresh iso won't stay fresh very long.

Thanks Mass I will probably do that. Place the new ISO between the old one and the body in the rear. I think i'll save the money and not replace the others unless there is damage to them.
