Post subject:  Rim sizes and questions. 16" or 17" for '07 KJ.
Still trying to learn here.

What are the actual rim sizes for a replacement 16"? I'm think it's 16x7...5x4.5...what is the minimal backspace get needed? I've seen 5" and 4.5". Why would spacers be needed, to help with back spacing or clearance issues? Same for 17", which I guess are also 5x4.5 by 4.5" or 5" back spacing?

And running 16" for better tire choices? Maybe cheaper selection?

Unlifted have to stay with 5 inches of backspacing and 7 inches wide
No on the spacers
Lifted 7 inches wide and 4 inches of backspacing works well
If unlifted and sagged any at all ( which 99% are ) 235-70-16s or maybe if not sagged much 245-70-16s
