I posted this in the CRD area but haven't received any replies so I'm thinking maybe I was in the wrong area. I apologize for the double post but after several days I figured I'd try a different audience. I'm rebuilding my dad's 2005 CRD after an encounter with a deer. I've replaced the coolant hoses and intercooler which was enough to get it running and driving. Now it's the mounting panels and cosmetics that I need: sheet metal, radiator & fan & grill supports, fan, headlamp assembly, grill etc. My question is, other than the intercooler obviously, are most other pieces and parts interchangeable with the gassers or are many front end parts specific to the CRD and if so which ones? I can find plenty of gas model Libertys in the salvage yards but no CRD locally. I'd hate to pay shipping on a large item if I can get it at the pull-a-part here. I've tried searches but all I get is for aftermarket upgrades and drivetrain stuff, not OEM stuff. A list or a link would be most helpful. Many Thanks, |

What parts do you need, like fenders/ bumper etc If so all of that is the same as long as 05-07 |

You mentioned fan. I think the fan is CRD specific, but there are options for the fan clutch and fan. I am going with an electric fan. You can try the CRD Facebook page. People sell a few parts on there. |

Thanks guys. I was pretty sure the body panels were the same. And I can even still drive it with a buggered hood and fender. What I need to know about are the radiator supports and the grill supports, stuff like that. What the headlamp and fog bolt to, hood latch mechanism, electric fan, AC evaporator, etc. I don't know how much the intercooler changes other things. I guess I could do a parts search at a dealer site. So far everything I tried at Rockauto didn't differentiate between the two but I'd hate to buy a parts vehicle or pieces at a salvage yard or even worse - new, only to find them useless. I'm on a very limited budget. I'd hoped to replace the timing chain, water pump, etc, etc while I had the front end open but may have to save up for awhile. Kids college and medical bills are taking all my spare change and then some... |

02-04 same , 05-07 depends on it Renegade or other ( Sport, Limited etc .) But the have different grill supports, fenders, flares , hood of course etc |

Where are you located? Seems like there is somebody parting out a Liberty on a fairly regular basis. If you find one with a good front end, get the whole thing and swap the parts you need. Many times the parts you want, go pretty cheap on a part out. I have a 2006 CRD you can get the parts off of for a mere $7800. Comes with a lot of extra parts you could use. |

Sport and limited use same main parts. Limited has body color bumper cover and wheel arches. Renegades have taller grille and support behind it. The hood doesn't pinch shorter in middle between headlights. It is more like Cherokee and grand Cherokee. |
