minor fender trimming? 33/12.50 tires seems like a little more than minor trimming , if i was going to buy a spacer lift i would look into rustys or daystar or maybe rocky road, either way you will have to change the rear shocks, but if you dont wheel it maybe not im not sure on that, but someone else on here can tell for sure if stock shocks will still work just for street.

I thought anything above 2.5" would kill the CV joints? You can find some other kits on ebay, like RevTek spacer lifts.

It is kind of misadvertised as a suspension lift. It does not include new springs, just 4 billet machined aluminum spacers. Also, our CV joints in fact do not respond well to over 2.5" of lift. On top of that, there is no way 33s are going to clear for anything but mall crawling without doing a whole heap of cutting, and on top of that you definitely risk damage to the notoriously fragile front Dana 30a running 33s.

A few LOST members claim to have success with this lift, including afornal, but the general consensus of those of us who wheel our rigs hard and often is foremost the Frankenlift and after that Rusty's coil kit.

This question comes up again and again and the popular vote always goes back to the Frankenlift. All J Products is friendly, easy to work with, and most importantly frequents and supports our community. The Frankenlift was developed and tested over and again by the founders and members of this club. Can the same be said about billetlifts?

My .02 anyhow .....

I won't disagree with you on the Frankenlift (I finally got my wife to agree to let me order one!), but if it's never going off road, a Daystar is a lot more cost effective. I'll also agree that Heather is very helpful & supports the group. If White7 wants to support AllJ, he can order a Daystar from them. Last I checked it was on their web site KJ page.

I agree for a full suspension lift Fankinlift looks like the best kit, then Rusty's. I looked at the Ebay auction and I would'nt bid on it that kit. If your not going with a suspension lift and you want a spacer kit Go to https://rustysoffroad.comand click on suspension KJ (full kit) and strut spacer this may be a better option for you if your not planing on going off road, but for what its worth I would get a Frakinlift if you have the $$ if gives you a better ride then stock on road and offroad.

Good Luck! :)

That website makes me even LESS trusting of this lift:

"We specialize in custom aluminum suspension lifts for Jeep vehicles. Liberty shown has our 3" lift with 285/55/R20 (33X12.5X20) BFG TA KO's."

#1, I don't know of ANY way to get a 33" tire under a 3" lift without an insane amount of rubbing everywhere. They say they did some fender trimming.

#2, 285?? I'm pretty sure you won't be able to turn with 285. The picture may show them, but I don't think anybody has managed to actually drive on 285s without replacing the fenders and installing some impressive wheel spacers or outrageous backspacing.

Long story short, if it's too good to be true, it's because it is.

But then again, you should be able to find a Rusty's Spacer kit for under $200 (before shocks). Daystar is not much more.
