P0128 CODE came up on my diagnostics. It means something is wrong with the Cooling System but I replaced the Thermostat less than two years ago when I flushed the coolant and replaced the hoses. Low miles since then so have any of you had trouble with Thermostats breaking? I read sometimes this code can mean one or two sensors are bad. If so, where can I locate those sensors on the engine? Ideas about what else it could be?
I put on a new water pump, good quality, three years ago.

P0128 means that the engine is not reaching operating temp quickly enough and 99.999% of the time it's the result of a bad t-stat.

OK, tk, I will drain it out and buy a new one first to see if that shuts off the Engine Trouble Light.

Manually clear the light, otherwise can take up to 50 "no fault" drive cycles to self clear.

Don't use any type of "fail safe" t-stat,they always fail.Had a few in the failed position right out of the box.

OEM is the only one that is worth it.

I will avoid the brand you mentioned.
Is there any shortcut to replacing the thermostat without draining out all my new coolant?
Thank You

Dave

Drain it into a clean pan and re-use it when done.
