OK so i have an 02 sport, I ditched the 16" rims with the little tires on it infavor of 15" rims with 29" TXRUS tires, My front rubs like there is no tomorrow, I pulled up next to another KJ the other day and it was running all stock running gear and tires but their's was at the same height and in fact i think it was a little taller....Anyone have any suggestions that i can do to loose the rubbing, Lift kit is out of the question right now cause the wife is out of work, I have already beat the pinch weld in but it can prolly go a bit more. Any suggestions?

I think the problem is backspacing.

Those wheels are only 3.75" BS I think. Stock is 5.25" on steel wheels and 5.50" on alloy. Moving them out that far is making them rub.

I'm running 4 1/2" backspacing, it just seems to sit to low as well tho like the springs are sagging...Anyone got a free set of stock springs sitting around and a spacer lift I can have for free????? I can pay for shipping as long as its not an arm and a leg or my first born...

Clevis the front up an inch (so move it about 1/2") and run an extra isolator in the rear if you need to re-level it. Other than that, just start trimming.

You should double check your clearances inside the wheels, Most vehicles today have larger rim diameters and specific backspacing/offset for a reason, to accommodate larger brakes. Can't necessarily downsize the wheel size and expect it to work.

as far as the wheel clearance is concerned it is fine however it is the tire catching on the inner fenders. I believe the backspacing is fine, I was wondering about the clevis lift because of the height of the KJ I believe the front springs have sagged down As I said earlier it seems to sit lower than even the prelowered 03s, Does anyone know where it should sit height wise at stock level?
