| Post subject: | Ordered Rusty's Lift **UPDATED (missing part)** |
Well, after thinking and researching for months i've finally decided to order Rusty's full coil lift. I called before ordering to ask about spring rates and such... i talked to a real nice guy on the phone and he said that they have gone to one standard spring rate for the full coil lift and that the springs are 20 lbs. over stock on all 4 corners... he said it would still ride nice and provide a little more stability on road... i decided on Rusty's kit because of several factors... price/perfomance ratio being a big factor. also, the stance is just right in my opinion... so, i went ahead and ordered online i'll keep everyone posted about my Rusty's lift experiences along the way Mark |

You'll like the lift! I put mine on recently and enjoy it. I installed the MOOG lower ball joints when I put everything on. |

one of the struts doesn't have the black plastic tube thingy (strut boot?) that covers over the strut rod... don't know what it's called... does anyone have a full parts list for Rusty's coil lift so i can see if anything else is missing before i call them? also, and i'm not sure if i should be concerned about this or not... while looking over the struts... (they are definately OME NS131 struts) when laying them side by side and lining up the part where they seat down into the top of the clevis bracket, the the top of the struts appear to be off each other by about 1/16"... it's really not much at all... i don't think it's as bad as the Rancho strut problem the All J's went through.. but i can't find that post that had pics of how far off those faulty ranchos were... should i be concerned about this? thanks Mark |

i left both strut boots off of my rustys lift with no issues. it is really more of a cosmetic piece if you ask me. personally i like being able to see the strut piston sticking out above the wheel! |

My lift (Frankenlift) came preassembled w/o the boot. You really don't need it. IMO, all it will do is hold moisture and crud in there... |
