Need Trail in Queen Creek/Florence Area(Updated w/Pics)

I have some friends who might be coming over. 1 layed off and spouse had to take cut in hours and pay. Looking to get them out of town with the kids for a day of fun, light risk finaces as they are. Ant ideas for a 3-6 hour trip that would do the job?

Box Canyon is pretty easy. There's only a couple of obstacles that are challenging. Have you been out there before?

Otherwise, maybe head a bit more north and do the Apache Trail up to one of the lakes. That's real easy but way scenic. Plus a picnic by the lake is always fun, and Tortilla Flats is a fun stop.

Have not been to Box Canyon, but that was my thinking. Just wondering what else was out there.

Well there's lots of side trails, etc. Martinez cabin is a bit 'rough' in a KJ going through the boulder field. Coke Ovens is not too bad (not sure if it's open anymore - it's private property). I've only been out there a couple times so I'm not real familiar. Plenty of fun to be had though!

I highly recommend running Montana Mountain. You exit off the 60 at Queen Valley and come out in Superior. It is an easy trail with spots to play if you wish. I've done it 3 times when my Liberty was stock without any issues at all. The scenery is amazing. You'll love it.

x2 Montain Mountain is a fun, scenic trail with many side trails to explore with varying degrees of difficulty. If you stay on the main trail, the toughest part will be the "Rock Garden" a few miles from the end of the trail....
