Ok, I am completely new to the forum and honestly I have not even picked up my Jeep Liberty yet (2004 Liberty Limited). I pick it up on Monday July 6th ... I am like a kid at Christmas! I've always wanted one and now I am getting one. I've been lingering on the board for a few days and have already bought some accessories I keep reading about "mods" and "chips" and "lifts" and everything else. New to me .... but I will keep reading and watching. Very interesting discussion.

Welcome Diana. I am in Ballston Spa so you are a neighbor and the first person on this board anywhere near me. Make sure you get 2 working transponder keys with it (expensive to replace) and the owners manual is in the little hidden spot above the glovebox. Make sure you got a jack. It will be underneith the back seat on the passenger side. Check everything out real good. This is a good site. Enjoy. If I can help with anything let me know. |

Yeah, I think this was part of a fleet of some sort ... but I got a good deal and I am happy about it. The hubcaps are cheap, but I'll deal with that in time. |

Thank you Albert (aka Dave) ... I will check those things for sure. I have seen the transponders on eBay and Amazon but to code them takes at least a working one or something of the sort. I'll figure it out. We are good with the owner's manual but definitely need to check for the jack. Thanks for the tips Diana |

Not too bad though. Just ordered some cooler steelies though, a lot better |

Heck, nothing like you guys I wanted the chrome grill look so I bought a Putco Chrome grille (not plastic but actual metal that is not supposed to rust). I bought jeep slush mats and the jeep molded spare tire cover in silver. I found a guy on eBay with good prices "MoparForLess". Just little stuff, nothing too fancy but things to make it look like mine and a little different.
Picked it up and very happy. |

Off roading would involve getting to places to chip for Garnets in our North Country or look for Herkimer Diamonds. I have not offroaded since those ATV's in the Army back in the early 80's. Not ruled out, but definitely not alone Nothing is out of the question |
