I've been watching this forum for over a year and I finally decided to join. Just before the end of 2009 (had to get the tax break) I bought a 2010 Limited in Light Sandstone with the trailer tow package and a sunroof (not the skyslider... too chicken to buy that, I keep my cars a long time and I was worried about longevity... maybe next time). I wanted the skids but couldn't find one with them installed from the factory so I ordered them and I will be putting them in soon. I also have a 99 Wrangler with a 2" Teraflex lift, flex arms, ARB air lockers front and rear, skid plates, 31x10.50 BFG ATKOs. I love it but it has over 162,000 miles on it so I thought I should get something else for my daily driver. I couldn't stand to part with the TJ so I will keep it and maybe modify it more. Don't worry though, the KK is going to get dirty too. I haven't taken it off road yet but I certainly will as soon as I get a chance (I am a bit concerned about my stock tires though, they don't look to be very good for off road). So why did I but a KK when I was going to keep my TJ? It's like this, once you've driven a Jeep, everything else is just a car! I also think the KK is a real off road vehicle not a wanna be like so many others. This KK is definitely going to see some action. Any way, thanks to all of you that helped me learn about KKs and decide to buy one over the last year (even if you didn't know I was there!). |
