Found this place on a Google Search. Main reason for getting a Liberty is I wanted something capable to pull a 5000-lb trailer, and get pretty good gas milage the rest of the time. My driving is 99.9% combined city/hwy paved roads. For off roading I have a CanAm Outlander 650 HO EFI. Trailer is a 2990-GVW, and figured a 5K tow is more then enough to handle my needs trailering to the trails a couple of times a year. Last 3 years I went to Colorado (from Pennsylvania) 1800-1900 miles one way, headed there again this summer. So that will be the real test for the Liberty.
I came out of a 2008 F-250 Superduty crew cab long bed 4x4, with the 6.4 liter diesel, economy it wasn't, and was starting to nickel/dime me. Looked at Wrangler Unlimited's, FJ's, Escapes, came home with a 2010 Liberty Sport 4x4. So far mpg have been increasing, just under 3000 miles on it now. MPG's started out mid 17's to now right around 20-mpg's. I had to baby the Ford to get 15-mpg. Jeep came with factory installed tow package which was a must for me.

Hey there... :JEEPIN: ...welcome to the club. This place rocks when it comes to information regarding the KJ and all jeeps actually. Also a good site is www.jeepkj.com ...I hit both multiple times a day.

Your KK will tow it just fine. Just be sure to turn off the overdrive when towing or it will shift up and down all day. Where are you in PA? I used to live in Meadville.

Welcome 8)

There are not many jeep forums that can match the KK section that LOST has... As a plus, you should see mileage increase a little more after the 5K mark......
