here's a pic of the Jeep and my other SUV(excursion). So far my mileage has been 17 city/21 highway and the Speedometer is a little over 6% high.

Picture didn't work.

Should be able to get better than 21. One thing to look at is your thermostat. It should be one-tick left of straight up. If not, or you have a hard time getting it warmed up, your T-stat is probably bad. Proper engine temp is key to good fuel mileage

The last few weeks or so I have driven it exclusively in town. And I have been more careful about how I drive compared to the Excursion(it's mileage doesn't seem to be as easily affected by my driving style) and have gotten 20.3mpg for 2 tanks. So maybe with the Jeep I have to be more careful how I drive.

after reading the CRD forum I think the jeep maybe needs a GDE Tune and/TCM tune to help maximize mileage and performance.

I posted a question in the other 4x4 subforum (hopefully it's in the right place and asking this here isn't a no-no) and would appreciate any input I can get From CRD owners, especially any who have downsized from a Larger diesel 4x4.
