Hi all,

Not much to say, but thank you. The CRD info here was an invaluable resource for researching my purchase. I've only had it for a few days, but so far I am very happy with the decision.

I don't know much about the Liberty's or any of the newer Jeeps for that matter. I am very old school, started out at 15 years old when my Dad gave me his '42 Willys to run around in. Over the years I have owned CJ-5's, 7's, a square headlight Wrangler, and a TJ. When our family became to large to fit in the Jeeps, we moved up to an Early Bronco. We sold the EB a few years ago and did not have any 4x4's for quite a while.

This summer we ran across a screaming deal on my wife's '49 Willys; Built to the hilt with Dana 44's, lockers, 36" Swampers, full cage, 4.3L GM drivetrain, harness, fuel cell, it was really a great deal.

I am big into motorcycles and thus commute on two wheels most of the year; the last few years I have been buying old cars to get me through the winter and fixin' them up a bit and reselling them the next summer. It has worked out well, but I haven't really had a decent car for a long time. The last one was a '62 Studebaker I picked up for $550.

So as the cold weather started rolling in I began looking; my wife didn't want me buying another "rolling project" and pushed me to get "what you really want". I love diesels, so hopefully I made the right choice!

Welcome Corey. Sounds like you've already found the CRD section(s).

Happy cold-weather jeeping :)
