The 2005 CRD, with no previous problems, died under acceleration as my daughter and I were driving to the Mall of America. Two hours later, Triple A had the Liberty in my garage. After an hour of reading Lost Jeeps posts, I bled the fuel filter (3 big hisses) and it started right up. With a recent fuel filter change, I didn't put the new filter on tight enough. Lesson learned. My heater connection was dry--a good thing. I will be changing to the Racor filter housing sometime soon. My present project Jeep (78 FSJ, Cherokee Chief 401) is in the paint shop. My son's project Jeep (81 Scrambler) has an empty engine compartment waiting for a rebuilt Cummins 4bt to be installed. One question for the forum: I've been running around with a non-operational EGR for a while. I've read some posts on the SEGR but didn't see where to order it. Would someone please post contact information so I can consider a purchase. Many thanks! |
