The 2005 CRD, with no previous problems, died under acceleration as my daughter and I were driving to the Mall of America. Two hours later, Triple A had the Liberty in my garage. After an hour of reading Lost Jeeps posts, I bled the fuel filter (3 big hisses) and it started right up. With a recent fuel filter change, I didn't put the new filter on tight enough. Lesson learned. My heater connection was dry--a good thing. I will be changing to the Racor filter housing sometime soon. Thanks for all of the info. @http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/posting.php?mode=post&f=43&sid=1e2ecd6cd0100904a6b1bad8d1156eab#

This CRD is Jeep #10 for the family. My present project Jeep (78 FSJ, Cherokee Chief 401) is in the paint shop. My son's project Jeep (81 Scrambler) has an empty engine compartment waiting for a rebuilt Cummins 4bt to be installed.

One question for the forum: I've been running around with a non-operational EGR for a while. I've read some posts on the SEGR but didn't see where to order it. Would someone please post contact information so I can consider a purchase. Many thanks!

This forum has helped me out a lot too. Glad the problem turned out to be something simple. :JEEPIN:
