Hey all i'm Jeff. i bought my KJ a few months ago and now that its nice i'll begin doing work.

My goal for this year since im a college student with a budget is to ditch the ovaries and get some real tires. i've got a 2 inch lift kit in my garage waiting for the tires along with a winch from my old jeep.

I'll be hitting up some junk yards in hopes of finding the rene lightbar and fog lights. i cant justify blowing 500 on that bar lol. yes im aware there are alternatives but i just like the OEM bar


I previously owned a 1997 Jeep Cherokee which i had Herculined. i do plan on Herculining the KJ this year as well. Ive yet to see one on here (ive yet to search) but i'll bet money that a few of you have done it too. if so i plan on joining that club

Welcome to the forum. Good to have another great plains person here. There are two guys on here that have herculined there kj/kk. there are a couple of us in Ks going to tuttle creek in a few weeks so if you are interested in some offroading fun.

Welcome man, it sounds like you have a good plan in place. There are two completely Line-X'ed Jeeps on this board, a KK (2008 - present Liberty) owned by Diggerfreek, and a KJ owned by Fulltimer. Both rock the mad skills.

I hope the lift you're doing is an OME or Jeepin by Al's. . . .

The lift is OME. i scored it from my college buddy. he was going to put it on his jeep until he hit a deer and totaled the vehicle. i told him i'd buy the jeep off of him but the insurance company had already taken the car.
