Post subject:  Hello from Western NC

Hey! I've owned an '05 Liberty Renegade, and been lurking around here, for about three years. Man! Have I ever learned about my Liberty. I've I've made a total of two whole posts, both concerning lower ball joints, and reimbursement from D/C.
So far I haven't done alot of mods to my Liberty; I've installed a frame hitch (Reese Tow Power) with a clevis ring insert, I don't remember the brand on that, it came from Tractor Supply. I've installed a Kenwood CD player, Rockford Fosgate amp, and an MB Quart 12" dual voice coil subwoofer. I had the lower ball joints replaced with Moog K3199 greasables, and did get a reimbursement from D/C ! I replaced the tires that were on it when I bought it , Rodian 225/75/16's, with some Falken High Country AT 245/70/16's. I'm happy with them for the money.
I've wanted to lift my Liberty since the day I bought it and it will happen soon! I have the front Frankenlift :frankie: components from All J. I've ordered OME 948 rear springs and Teraflex front bumpstops from Marlin at JeepinbyAl. After my rear springs and front bumpstops come in from Marlin (should be any day now) I'll be purchasing some shocks for the rear locally. I really couldn't justify paying shipping on something I could pick up on my way to work... I'm torn between running Rancho RS 5000's or the Rancho RS 9000XL's. I'll more than likely end up cutting and drilling a rubber mallet head to use as rear bumpstops. Hockey pucks don't seem to be that easy to find in Western NC....Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places!
My Jeep is used 99% for gettting back and forth from work. I work for the US Postal Service at the local processing and distribution facility on a late second/third shift. I have the get there no matter what the weather, and getting home safely in the wee hours of the morning is nice after a long night at work. The roads around my house do not get plowed during the winter. Some extra ground clearance will be nice.
After gettting the lift on some future mods will be upgrading my trans skid, and upgrading my Rene rock rails. I'd also love to have an ARB front bumper/bull bar in the future, and something beefier on the rear; anyhing has to better than the plastic that's there now.
