Welcome to the site, I'm not quite Vancouver Island but only a short boat trip away in Cloverdale. I'm originally from the island and there are lots of places to go off roading and adventuring over there.

I got to visit Vancouver a couple of years back - it's beautiful
although I think the NYT said ~20% of the house are $ million+

so I don't think I could afford it - but it was neat and the ferry ride was fun
