Recent new owner of a CRD here on the south side of Indianapolis. My first diesel was an 05 Ram (that I miss, except when I have to park it or turn on a dime). I grew up around diesel equipment on a farm (just before electronics came into the picture) so I know what they're capable of and generally how to treat them.

Welcome and where are you located? I grew up around powerstrokes and heavy equipment started driving my father dump trucks around 15 . And i can tell you one thing there are alot of things similar about these little diesel and all the other modern ones. But there are also alot of difference that can't be ignored but if you read the Noob guide you got the jist of it all and welcome and enjoy.

I'm near Greenwood, IN :SOMBRERO: I've done a bit of reading on the Noob guide and tried to do some of that, but haven't seen much out of it. I've got some hidden parasitic losses in the driveline, I think.

BTW, I love the smilies on this board. Wonder who came up with this one? :dead: I would never have expected a Priest with incense. That's funnier than the Spanish Inquisition skit on Monty Python.
