I'm from Garland, Texas. Driving a 2006 CRD from the beginning. Love it! Not a mechanic, stock condition, perform maintenance, oil changes, water separator filter, sensors, etc. Typical EGR problems at 52OOO mi and now at 88,000 mi. Texas currently has no diesel clean air requirements, unlike gasoline, which is great. Excited about the mods on the forum. Looking for a mechanic to replace timing belt at 100,000. Like to thank all the contributors up front for all the info.! Thats my story and I sticking to it. Thanks Again Eddie |

Howdy - Welcome to LOST for Mechanics - start with folks who service Cummins/Sprinters - they at least know what a Diesel is. The 'average' Jeep mechanic had a 1 hour video - 7 years ago....and may have seen one or two CRD's since then. don't forget Sam's Noob guide - great info. http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=54207 |
