Hi,

Sadly no idea what happend with JeepClub, I was as shocked as everyone else I spoke to. Personally not very happy with the statement posted. Yes, they had posted up that they were looking for financial contributions from external parts ( ie sponsors, got four going) but suggestions had been made by many posters, including myself, that financial contributions would have been more that acceptable by any member to keep the forum going (on a voluntary basis) to help with the running cost a lot of Forums do this. Since it reopened we have over 1200 new members join, I am sure the majority if asked would have gladly contibited anything from £5 to £10 to keep it running. The information was good and here in the UK it was , to my knowledge, the only Forum dedicated exclusively to Jeep.

It's a shame, let's hope it rises again from the ashes a third time with a bit more motivation, it could be a realy succesfull.

If you are still looking from an Offroad Club to go green laning with let me know.

Fil.

Hi fil, yeah totally agree with you,i for one would have gladly paid membership. The few times i went on the forum i knew there was some one like ya good self to offer good advise.I too hope it rises back again...Maybe we should make it happen?.I am still looking for a good club to do a bit of green laning with so if you know of any you'll have to let me know.Hopefully one day we could meet up and do some laning. My jeep is in having a recall part fitted at min on the gearbox, but the part is still in italy,so think i'll be without her for about another week. :(

Hi,
If you are interested in green laning, I am part of AMOR (http://www.amorclub.org.uk/) and we organise some outing once a month. The website hasn't been up dated in a while as currently they are setting up a Forum where better information will be available. I went out with then yesterday around Leicestershire for the day but they cover the hole of the UK. Membership is about £29.00 per annum but you don't have to pay up for the first outing, you can come along and see how you get on and after that you sign up if you wish so. Next outing is Whiltshire and then Cambridgeshire.

Howdy
is there a Sherwood forest around there????

Welcome to LOST
Sam has a Noob guide - however it's more focused toward the U.S. 2.8L
there's still some good suggestions - it just occasionally needs and American/English translation....

Hi,

for those of you how are in the UK, after last month demise of Jeep Club Forum a new forum has been set up and it's trying to get back up to speed like the old one.
Here is the link for those who don't have it : http://www.jeep-club.co.uk/index.php.
Currently it's mostly for members in the South & East of the UK, but it would be nice to expand all the way West & North to cover again the hole of the UK.
