I just bought an 05 Liberty CRD WITH 89,000 miles on it. I've owned VW and Isuzu diesels in the past and I've owned CJ5's, but never a diesel Jeep. I bought it from a wholeseller as a non runner, his mechanic came back with a list of codes, so I took a chance and bought it after I found a fuel leak hoping that's that's the problem.

I replaced the fuel filter head with the updated head, bled it per noob guide instructions and she fired right up! I didn't splice the wire harness in. Do we need that or can we leave it off and will that cause a check engine light to come on? Thanks for a great sight!
