HI THERE! first of all, i dont think you have a 4" lift... and JBA platinum? is there a platinum? and for lockers, what type and let us know where (front or rear).i guess you will have to check that first and then go again and try see if wheels are spinning in that mud... im not a mechanic but if it made a terrible sound there could be lots of reasons... lets try to narrow the search... we'll get the hang of it (together with other ppl of course) good luck! |

The guy before me added the jba platinum comes with fox shocks I believe I don't know much about it. But it is a 4 inch I had southern offroad look at it. But the locks are the tru lock it has them in front and rear. The noise came from the t-case when I put it in 4x4 trying to get unstuck. |

You will not find a more knowledgeable group of people on these vehicles anywhere in the world. There are people on this forum that know more about them than the engineers who designed and built them. I suggest you relax and do some research here while waiting on some input from other members. If you want an immediate answer to your mechanical issues, go to a mechanic and take some cash out of your pocket. You can also call the guy who just sold you the truck and ask him. Were you trying to engage 4 low?

Ok, so you think the sound was coming from the transfer case. What transfer case do you have? SelectTrac or CommandTrac? Selectrac came in most limited, CommandTrac came in most Sports, but either could be added as an option. Where you in 4Lo or just 4wd? Did you have trouble shifting the transfer case. |

I have had several lifted vehicles Chevy 2500 hd with a 6 inch rough country a 2005 cc f150 with a rancho 4 inch and a wrangler with a 6 inch skyjacker I'm very familiar with 4wd lifted vehicles just not lockers I tried the 4x4 lo but nothing up front was spinning I was just aggravated at all the views but no answers I'm new to forums Im used to just having to figure things out myself which I have installed 3 lifts by myself and I'm only 18. I have also worked on my transmissions and did a sas with help on my old Chevy Colorado. I know it is the sport but it has been debadged. The guy before isn't much help because he had a shop do everything. It's just irritating to not know if something's wrong with your jeep or not I'm sure y'all understand |
