New to the forum. Just wanted to check in to say HI. Been a long time YJ owner. I was intrigued by the KJ CRD, so picked one up this spring. I LOVE it.... well, LOVED it... until it started having problems. Then I found out that no one--Jeep/Dodge dealer, diesel shops, etc-- really know the first thing about these little critters. Then I found you guys. I learned more in 15 minutes on this site than all the mechanics at the dealer know combined! I printed off a couple strings, took it to my trusted local shop and gave it to my mechanic. He found the problem in less than an hour (blown intercooler hoses) and now we have the new (Samco. thanks again!) hoses on order. Here's my plan: -Fix the hoses -Clean the MAP&MAF -Check/change the F/R diffs & trans case --- anything else I should look for???? After that the fun begins: -Buy a Green Diesel Tuner -Add a 4" lift -Safari Rack w/lights -ARB bumper w/winch |
