Howdy, I found this site after researching my new to me 2005 KJ Renegade. It's a 2 owner 46k mile rig, super clean all stock with no mods. I would like to "level" it but not sure if that's really an option from what I've seen. Don't really want to do the spacer lift and don't need to clear anything other than about a 30" tire max. Love to hear some feedback/opinions. This rig will not see any hard core wheelin, just a rig we bought to hand off to our son in a couple of years. Thanks in advance. |

Welocme to LOST Sounds like you got a good low mileage rig there You're right on staying away from a spacer style lift 30 inch tires will require a lift though since KJs/KKs tend to have weak springs Full spring lift like OME or Ironman would give you a better ride and great handling on the road, ( much better than stock ever was) and will last a long time. |

Welcome, By now you've probably scoped out the 'official lift thread' and seen what people have done. I leveled mine out with a clevis lift. Cost was zero (excluding alignment), and I got back 7/8 inch in the front (Jeep now level). good luck |

Yeah I have checked out all the different lifts. There is sooo many variables it seems. Thinking about just biting the bullet and buying the OME spring kit with shocks/struts and going from there. I really don't want to pound the pinch welds. Maybe stick with a 245 or 255 70R16 on the factory Renegade wheels. By what I've read that seems like it should work and still look decent. |
