Hey all! Any CRD owners out there? I'm a proud owner of my 2005 Jeep Liberty CRD. Just had it for over a year now and love it!! Bought it at 79k miles and now have 118k miles logged. No problems till this last week. Now it sits in the shop till i can get parts. Know anywhere besides the dealerships where I can get parts at a decent price? Dealership wants to charge me $765 for a Fuel pressure solenoid (the one on the back of the fuel rail) and that is outrageous!! I've got the 2.8L CRD, any help would be much appreciated.

Hello Stockton CRD, I'm from Sac, raised partly in Stockton!

Idparts.com has the timing kit and possibly other parts.
There are also used parts sites:
Car-parts.com
and others...you can search databases off wrecking yards across the US.
I found a replacement front diff with lower gears and full set of leather seats for example.

Others on the forum will prob weigh in on parts, who have had more experience.
I highly recommend reading the noob guide in the crd mechanical section, it has a great deal of recommended preventative maintenance!

I've yet to crest the 100k mark myself, but the timing belt is called for then. Have you completed that?

Hey ecomacgyver!

Thanks for the heads up on the idparts.com. I just moved to Stockton from Folsom the end of 2012. I've been in Cali since 2007, I love it out here. I have not had the timing belt changed out yet but I will need to do it soon. I've got a few trips planned this summer and want the peace of mind that that has been taken care of.

What do you drive?
