Hello all, I'm new here and have just purchased a 2006 CRD Limited with all the options. This is my first jeep and I found out quick that no one knows anything about them except for you guys. I'm a diesel tech. by trade for 25 years now so I do have knowledge. I bought it for the wife and have read up on your forum's, so now it's in my shop for the anticipated fixes. It was hard to located one in black and low miles, she fell in love with it, and I like it too. These guys I bought it from tell me they replaced a lifter and the timing belt. I'm not charmed that they didn't have receipts for the parts. Wish me luck, I've cleaned the MAT sensor twice in 2 days and have noticed better fuel mileage.

So...Today I took out the FCV and scraped/vacuumed out the intake and cleaned the MAT/MAP sensor again. I disconnected the MAF and taped up the plug, Removed the butterfly valve from the FCV and cleaned oil from the discharge end of the intercooler hose. Checked the turbo discharge hose and it was clean but has little splits on the inner walls...prolly from the excess oil that was there before "Manny Moe and Jack" got they're hands on it. They put a new CAC or CCV on and just cleaned up what they could see and changed the oil which by the way was 1 qt. over full. So took the wife to lunch and drove the interstate for a while and the mpg jumped from 15 to 30.4 freakn Awesome! Two very happy owners.

Yeah I've been reading up all week. Just put an order in for engine mounts, thermostat and clock spring, I think that will do for a while.
