Hi guys, name is Jeremiah. Signed up here back in March but never got around to posting. I was mostly just doing a lot of reading. I like to educate myself, and get some experience so I don't make myself look like an idiot.
I'm new to Jeeps, 22 years old, My previous 4x4 rig was a 91 Ford explorer with a SAS, 35" tires, and it wasn't anything more than a weekend toy. Being as I was 17 when I built it I didn't have enough experience for a project like that. It didn't last long.
Anyways fast forwarding to march of this year me and my Fiancé have a daughter about to turn 1 and we miss the camping trips we used to go on in Northern New Mexico and some into Colorado, we decided after her car got hit that a true 4x4 was something we needed. Started looking at JK's but they weren't what we wanted for a daily driver, then I thought maybe a commander with a hemi. But after looking at those they were too fat for some of the trails we were planning on using it for.
So we kind of stopped looking for awhile. But one day we stopped by a Ford dealer to watch Bigfoot smash some cars and get a free lunch. We saw the liberty. It's a 2012 Liberty sport. I did some research real quick and she fell in love with it. We drove it realized it's a perfect starting point. It had 35,000 miles on it. I brought it home dropped the oil and filter, changed the spark plugs and did a thorough inspection. It's a solid vehicle. It was a demo vehicle and is still brand new. The plastic under the floor mats is still there.
Plans are about a 2.5-3" full coilover lift, bigger tires with meatier tread, some more aggressive wheels and a basket for the roof as well as lots of light. Anyways sorry for the long read. But here are the pictures of what it looks like now.

And in the front yard with it's sibling
