I have to say I'm not a forums type but the amount of solid information I've found published here encouraged me to actually join the forum. Not to mention the fact that I'm in need of getting Some questions answered regarding my new (used) 4 banger diesel 2005 Jeep Liberty CRD.

My other Diesel is an'06 RAM turbo diesel bought the Liberty to spread out the miles on my Dodge.
I had been searching for some time for an 05 or 06 CRD Jeep but hard to come by. I found this sweet deal in a little used dealership in MA and jumped on it like white on rice I must say I'm very pleased with my new Jeep!!

The day I bought it I went straight to NAPA (didn't pass go or collect 200 dollars) and got the K&N hi flow air filter and put it in immediately Cause turbo diesels gotta breathe!!. I replaced my intercooler hoses with SAMCOS and then put in a Diablo Sport Power puck (the dial in the cab is a nice feature) Although I may be regretting not going with the GDE tuner Cause What I need now is an SEGR Cause I'm runnin w/o my MAF and I've got a CEL hangin around. That's pretty much where I'm at.

Oh yeah and I despise EGR technology (if you want to offer that kind of respect and call it technology) it does nothing more than reduce your mileage and muckup your intake. Some naughty engineer thought this garbage up.

Just because you can doesn't mean you should

Welcome to the forum, be sure and read the NOB guide, lots of very good information for a new owner....
http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=54207

If you want to get rid of your FCV, EGR, Cooler, and DTC light, there are other ways available on this forum. You can order the Weeks elbow kit http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=78238 to get rid of the FCV
and then reflash your own OBC using a simple connection cord available on eBay for less than $25 bucks, and laptop computer.

Read the following thread where the free modified OBC programs are available for download for your model. Note: If you reflash to one of the Hot tunes, you will have to unplug the Power Puck, not advisable to run both...

If you can, loose the CAT as well and replace with straight piece of pipe and replace muffler with a free-flowing one like a flowmaster.. :D

Thanks for the tips!!
I'll actually probably run With the MAF unplugged for now I'm gonna get everything all cleaned up as Far as MAP and intake and what not get the poor thing breathing better.
It will increase my mileage not to mention it seems to need some air @ full throttle as it bogs a little when fully opened up,

I really like the power puck the variable control is excellent. I'll check out all the Posts you sent asap,

Thanks!!
DFM
