Well it was kinda a sad day. I finally sold my TJ wrangler due to having a baby and needing a 4 door vehicle. I did luck out and find a nice 1 owner KJ that was owned by a mechanic. It's a 05 Liberty renegade. 73000 original miles and loaded. Also already sitting on a 3" lift and brand new 245/75/16 on soft 8 wheels. I got a few more plans for it ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I've had RC lifts on my TJ and never had a problem with it. Also had aRC lift on another vehicle as well. |

LOTS and I mean LOTS of difference between a TJ/JK/XJ etc and the KJ. The KJ has very weak springs from the factory and does not lend itself to going with spacer style lifts. Many posts explaining why and the differences o here and JEEPKJ I do lifts here and refuse to install any spacer lifts since I want people to be happy and enjoy the ride and handling for a long time. Why are you measuring? To see exactly how much lift you have. Springs sag so you may buy a kit thinking it will give you X number of inches of lift while since springs are sagged an inch you're not getting as much Had one guy want me to check his out 06 with 80,000 miles, making terrible noise, turns out 3 blown shocks, springs sagged almost 2 inches and stacked. 235-70-16s were rubbing it was so low. This is something you find all the time. I was looking for another KJ couple of years ago. Found an 03 with 78,000 miles, one owner and all service records from day one.Suspension was sagged 1.75 inches, of course didn't bother me since I already had a coilover JBA lift ordered before I even found the one I wanted since I knew suspension would be shot. |

Thanks for the info. I guess I'm still used to owning a TJ. This is my first KJ so I got lots to learn. I do plan on changing out the lift at some point. I don't wheel this thing much it's not my daily driver either. I looked at the lift you were talking about and holy hell thats expensive. I don't think I will ever need anything that expensive but could you recommend another decent lift. I mainly use my jeep on the weekends for needing to take my 3 month old places. Also use it for hunting and fishing and their mainly mountain Roads so there not to bad. Thanks |
