I know this topic has probably been beaten to death, my apologies ahead of time lol :? but after looking thru tons of posts in this section and also on google, I still can't seem to resolve the best way to wire my new CB antenna without worry of an accidental rip or tear the interior molding, so if anyone can lead me to an accurate prev tech post or has any advise on how to run the coax correctly that would be SO great!

I'm assuming the best way to run without any drilling is out the back, right? Well if it runs out of the back, is it through the space between the window or thru the seal of the door? If thru the window then that means A) I would'nt be able to open my rear window? and B) would I have to make a "drip loop" to deter rain? Any thoughts are appreciated -thanks!!

Scarlet: I *LOVE* the way my CB cable is. I can snap some pics for you. They will be extremely blurry though.

I hope this is somewhat helpful. I got the mount from Arizona Rocky Road. He custom fabs them. It grounds to the jeep awesomely. It's a tight fit to put on at first, but that just helps it ground better. I get some awesome range out of mine.

Wow that setup really IS nice! Makes me kindof wish I hadn't bought the cobra mag mount. Hey ok so I guess the coax does in fact have to run thru the back window crease.. these shots give me some definite visual aid, thanks! I guess you have to take your antenna off to open anything in the back then right (window and door)?

Hey thanks again for the pics! ((I esp like the cat photo!))

No, the whip is awesome. It's a K40 and can reach a 180 degree bend (thats right it fold in on itself without breaking. Just lower your window halfway, the close the door, then close your window the rest of the way. It's actually pretty convenient.

Edited to Add: BTW I have a Wrangler mount for a CB made by Ariz Rocky Road if anyone needs. He sent me both and doesn't want me to ship the wrangler one back. Great guy.

Wire - add-a -circuit (or add-a- fuse)
http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?p=47046#47046

you can install under the seat like Nanette's or ie knee panel under the steering wheel

as for the antenna wire - I ran mine out through the door seal and put the antenna center of the roof - best place for a mag mount. (I only used it while at Moab)

the other mounts are more permanent
