how much volume can the stock speakers handle?

im about to switch to a pioneer headunit which has alittle more kick than what i have so my question is how much can those non premium door speakers and 2 dash speakers take before they blow? can i turn up the bass or do they blow easy?

you can turn up the volume all you want even turn up the bass. they wont sound pretty and will have heavy distortion but it'll be loud. should invest in a low end set of components you can run right off the of the head unit. in my opinion anything is better than stock. or go blow 1200 dollars on a set of utopia components. your choice

99% of all blown speakers is not too much power but distortion.

i dont think it would draw current but if you have an old subwoofer i'd be happy to test it out :twisted:

LOL you have no idea how many times we have stuck 220/50 on a speaker for fun.
