Ok, I've been pretty disappointed with my factory Sirius radio since I activated it and realized that it doesn't display artist/song information. I'm going to upgrade to a new Sirius-ready head unit. How is the factory MOPAR set up? Is there an external tuner under the dash somewhere or is it all built into the radio? All the head units I've found (like so: Kenwood reciever ) require an external tuner. Will I have to buy this or is there an existing one that is compatible? If I have to buy the tuner as well, will the existing factory sat. antenna be compatible? I'd really hate to have to install a new antenna and route the wire.

Hoss:
Most of the older Libbies required an external Sirius tuner, like my factory unity, the RBQ. When you remove the bezel and factory radio, you should see the other cable to that external tuner. I don't know where they put it. Good luck with whatever you put in there.

Thanks for the reply..From reading a few obscure posts on other sites I THINK the factory tuner is in the cargo area somewhere! Dumb... anyway, I bought a complete package, but I'm hoping I can at least reuse the stock antenna.

I believe the sirius reciever is located on the passenger side of the cargo compartment in the back. I know that is where the cd changer goes, and I beleive they use that wire to reach the head unit.

Can you use the OEM sirius tuner with an aftermarket deck?

How do I use the stock two wire sirius receiver and it's antenna relay with a one wire antenna? (I have Hoss's old unit and just got my relay to put in!)

Are there aftermarket "two wire" antennas?
