My pioneers will be here thursday and the blown infinities are coming out. Any tips of pulling everything apart and rewiring the stock amps would be great

I build my own adapters but you can buy them pre made from Crutchfields.

Did mine today using crutchfields adapted today. If you have the premium system good luck finding a good spot to put the amps, that you can secure them well. Tried the VHB tape and am not a fan. But now the front doesn't rattle, made me realize the rear left is on the way out. :(

If you plan to add an aftermarket speaker to a stock infinity system you will be cutting back on power. Most aftermarket speakers are 4 ohm and most "upgraded" OEM speakers are 2 ohm so you're cutting the output in half. The's also the issue of any equalization that's built onto a DSP chip to make corrections in the poor performance of the OEM speaker to make them sound better. By adding an aftermaket speaker that does not have the same limitations you'll have an equalization mismatch; the result being possibly worse performance than when you started.

There is no DSP in the basic audio system but I had not analyzed the Infinity system.

I always read the jeep had 4 ohm infinities, which is part of the reason I went 4 ohm speakers. There are plenty of 2 ohm aftermarkets. That said before the front of the jeep was always louder than the rear. If thats true it'd be more even now.
