Found a beauty this weekend, a classic Olson Side-Bander. Radio needs work, but free to whoever has the time and talent to bring it back to life. Here are a couple of pics:

Please help, this radio needs a good home. 4WD required for pickup, no delivery included. E-mail or PM for GPS coords of radio... :P

Kevin,
Thats to funny. I also have a line on a typewriter, cassette recorder, old bowling ball, pieces of steel, yarn, and various other random things. PM Corwyyn for any requests.

I can see this getting moved to off topic real quick. lol

Don't forget an 8-track player, reel-to-reel player, Pong game, TRS-80, Rotary dial phone, Slide Ruler, and an old Edison player. I actually met a guy that had some toilet paper-roll shaped records (I think they were ceramic).....still in the original casings. and he played them for me. It was awesome.

OMG, I had an Olson 717 with "Speech Clipping" feature growing up as a kid. That picture brings back memories as I had to cover off the unit and was trying to understand vaccum tubes. That was also the catalyst for starting of my career in Electrical Engineering.

Thanks for the tour down memory lane.

My parents still have two rotary dial phones in their house. One's next to the Victorla with the records about a half inch thick.
