My fiancee' got me an XM Roady for my Bday. I need to connect it to the outside antenna (front passenger side). Was thinking I want to run it through the boot there into the cab somehow.

Me = Ametuer......i know

Thoughts and tips on removal of the boot? Other tips, thanks!

Put it right above the third brake light. You can then run the wire in thru the hole that the wiring for the light enters thru and run it down the passenger side interior platic and along the passenger side up to the front and under the radio.

Works great in that location.

Thanks Bro....Going to give it a go.

*edit* got the magnetic antenna mounted about 3" above the 3rd brake light. Fed it through the area where the tall plastic guides are for the interior cab dome light. Hid/fed wire through plastic parts and weather stripping along the healiner to the passenger dash. Snaked here around the side where the door meets the dash and had to stop - not enough light in garage!!!....hehehehe

What ideas about how to hold the wire to the underside of the glove box/dash area? Electrical tape? Gets hot down here in CC.

Thanks again. Does this count as a mod? I'm such a lightweight!! lol

ps. The interior dome light (above the hatch window) replaced perfectly, but does not "stick" to the headliner like it did before....thoughts?

I went back and decided to run the line along the bottom side panels instead of the top at the weather seals. Not too bad. I do want to ask about possible leaks at the point where the XM line goes into the 3rd brake light. Since it's top center, should I worry about that - how to seal? Thanks
