I recently installed a set of Hella 500's on my 07 KJ. I love the way they look and light the road ahead, unfortunatley I mounted them directly to the plastic part of my bumper and they shake like crazy when i drive. Does anyone know if i should of mounted them through the plastic and into the metal underneath or is their another solution to this? Thanks for the help. |

I put my fogs on a bar I made. The bar itself is only mounted in plastic, but it keeps the lights from shaking at all. It's a piece of 1" angle iron welded to 2" flat iron. Held in with 3 metal butterfly anchors on each side. It took a whole 45 minutes total to cut, weld, and detail. You can drill the holes for the lights anywhere you want to.

That's an interesting way to mount the lights, Gris. Here is another one: http://jeepkj.com/forum/showthread.php?t=26728 Although I like them mounted directly on the bumper. |

Gris, I really like the look of your light bar! too bad that the bumper on the 07 does'nt rise up on both sides. It's kinda flat all the way across. angles up just a little. I'm not sure how a can fasten the bar. |
